JAMES BURTON
The Man Paisley
As if it wasn’t enough to be forever
known as Elvis’ guitar player – when he
got to be good again – James Burton and
his variety of understated and somewhat
shrinking violet guitars, will forever be
known as the guy who first had a paisley
guitar.
Now you may not know me, that is fine,
but anybody who does will know what
that means to me.
Originally James of course played a pink
paisley Tele that was pretty much ‘60s
traditional apart from the livery. This is
still (for me) the definitive one, but that
doesn’t appear to be enough for either Mr
Burton or those Fender chaps, as these
days he has two more Signature Paisley
Teles to choose from, one red and one
blue.
Now normally I’d spend some time on the
spec, but I really don’t care to as it is all
about how they look so instead I’m just
going to show the pretty pictures. Plus of
course we are planning a proper look at
Mr Burton and we can talk turkey there.
Brilliant guitars, awesome guitarist.
