Health Education
Health Education helps students develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to avoid risky behavior
and maintain and improve their health. Health instruction gives students opportunities to practice skills that result
in health-promoting behaviors. The standards for health education are designed to help students become health
literate, obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information and services, and use such information and
services in ways that enhance health.
