THE POWER OF TAKING THE PLUNGE
Lora Goodrich has a training program called,
Seeing Red Cars. In the video, it gives
participants great illustrations of getting what
they don't want because that is where a lot of
people's focus is. She points out in the video
that when you buy a red car or anything for that
matter, you start seeing it everywhere. We've all
experienced that haven't we? Ladies go out and
buy a new outfit, men buy a new toy, and then
they experience seeing others with the same
thing. What is also profound is that you get
what you don't want too. Energy flows to
where your thoughts go, and like waving a
magic wand, "Poof, there it is!"
Therefore, when you set a goal, it must be
positive, as well as personal. I like referring to
Brian Tracy’s class on goal setting. He says that
the three “P’s” are the fastest and most effective
way to set goals. Personal, Positive, and Present
tense is the key. Your brain accepts the
information you feed it. Even the words we use
have power. You should never set a goal with
negative words like quit, stop, debt, etc. Let me
give you an example:
