Parker’s Proper Fish, Chips & Battered Sausage
While both the north and south of England claim
to have originated our most beloved meal, the first
fish and chip shop opened in Lancashire, in the
north, around 1863.
Since then, fish and chips have been as much an
icon of British life as Buckingham Palace, Bobbies
on the beat and our obsession with the weather. In
fact, fish and chips are so important, they were the
only food not rationed during the Second World
War!
Today, fish and chips are enjoyed throughout UK
– particularly in traditional seaside towns, where
they’re eaten straight out of the paper they’re
wrapped in. At Parker’s we’ve stayed true to what
makes this dish a delight, carefully selecting the
best ingredients to bring you fish and chips as they
should be.
It starts with thick white cod, caught in the cleanest
ocean waters of Iceland by a single boat; in fact it’s
the same one supplying all the UK’s best chippies.
Each fillet is then dipped in our secret-recipe batter
and fried in our authentic British fryer until crisp
and golden.
As for the chips, we only use King Edward potatoes
(the best) picked one day and in our shop the
next. They’re peeled, thickly cut and then cooked
to perfection.
Fancy a change to fish and chips? Then why not
go for a battered sausage? At Parker’s, we make
it exactly how you’d find it in the UK: 9 inches of
succulent, British chippy sausage, dipped in our
secret recipe batter and fried in our authentic chip
shop fryer until crisp and golden.

The United Kingdom is increasingly becoming one
of the world’s premier producers of sparkling wines,
and here at Parker’s we’re all about championing
the absolute best of the Home Country’s business
heroes.
As anyone who’s lived in Britain will agree the
UK is known for the high quality of its fruits,
with grapes being no exception. Although British
wine producted historically struggled with the
‘unpredictable’ weather recent years have seen
warmer climates create ideal conditions for
vineyards amongst the chalky slopes of Southern

Sourced from the South of England from Kent to
Dorset these grapes form a crisp and fresh wine
with fruity aromas and a lively splash English wine’s
signature acidity. The bubbles are refreshing and
fine, but not too harsh.
We recommend this wine with a portion of fish and
chips for a proper British classic, or as an aperitif
