DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY (PAGE 1)<br />

Arrival to Tbilisi, meeting with your driver at the arrival hall <strong>of</strong> the airport. Meeting sign: “Capital <strong>Georgia</strong><br />

Travel”. Transfer to the hotel <strong>of</strong> your choice and accommodation.<br />

DAY 1<br />

Optional activities for today:<br />

Dinner in a local restaurant with entertainment program – <strong>Georgia</strong>n folk-show. It will be your first<br />

acquaintance with the infamous <strong>Georgia</strong>n cuisine. Round-trip transfer included.<br />

Traditional <strong>Georgia</strong>n Sulfur Bath. We will make reservation for you and arrange transfers.<br />

After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel lobby and start your personal discovery <strong>of</strong> <strong>Georgia</strong> with<br />

the city tour <strong>of</strong> its capital. First stop will be at glorious Sameba – the main cathedral and the tallest religious<br />

building <strong>of</strong> the country. Another “must see place” for today is Metekhi Church located in the neighborhood <strong>of</strong><br />

the same name, gracefully situated on a cliff above Mtkvari river. Your guide will take you to the new Rike<br />

Park to make a photo-stop on The Bridge <strong>of</strong> Peace which is a modern structure designed by Italian<br />

architects and recently became one <strong>of</strong> the new symbols <strong>of</strong> the city.<br />

One <strong>of</strong> the highlights for today is a visit to Narikala – ancient fortress, where the stunning views over the city<br />

will be opened for you. You will go up on the comfortable cable car and get down by foot through the narrow<br />

and authentic streets <strong>of</strong> the Old Town, among them the newly renovated Shardeni kucha – the street which<br />

never sleeps, an entertainment cluster <strong>of</strong> Tbilisi.<br />

DAY 2<br />

After the city tour, you will have time for lunch break. Your guide will be happy to recommend a local<br />

restaurant so you could try more <strong>Georgia</strong>n dishes (lunch may be booked in advance - USD 15 PP).<br />

Today we prepared for you another splendid place to visit - the historical suburb <strong>of</strong> Tbilisi. You will see<br />

Mtskheta – the old legendary capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>Georgia</strong>. Here is located the most important cathedral –<br />

Svetitskhoveli, which inspired many <strong>Georgia</strong>n poets and artists. Then you proceed to Jvari Monastery,<br />

previously a pagan temple turned into Christian church. This place gives you an opportunity to enjoy the<br />

exceptional scenery and make photos <strong>of</strong> the amazingly beautiful nature. In the evening return to the hotel and<br />

spend the rest <strong>of</strong> the day on your own. Arrival back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.<br />

Choreography Class. Master-class <strong>of</strong> <strong>Georgia</strong>n dances. During 1.5 hours session you will have an<br />

opportunity to learn the moves from the pr<strong>of</strong>essional dancers (no special skills required).<br />

Visit to the peasant family near Mtskheta. The tour includes degustation <strong>of</strong> the locally produced wine<br />

(aimed for the export). Additionally we may include the dinner with the family during this tour and<br />

master classes <strong>of</strong> cooking <strong>Georgia</strong>n cuisine.<br />

Tour to the National Museum <strong>of</strong> <strong>Georgia</strong>. See the treasury <strong>of</strong> ancient <strong>Georgia</strong>n Kingdoms, Soviet<br />

Occupation exposition and other significant historical artefacts.<br />

Tour to the Ethnographical Museum. Open-air museum where you can see the authentic <strong>Georgia</strong>n<br />

houses.<br />

Dinner with traditional <strong>Georgia</strong>n dishes, wine and national show program (<strong>Georgia</strong>n dances and<br />

songs). Round-trip transfer included.<br />

DAY 3<br />

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Uplistsikhe – the impressive cave-city in the Eastern <strong>Georgia</strong>, which<br />

used to be a significant cultural center before the Christian era. The name Uplistsikhe literally means “The<br />

God’s Castle”.<br />

Afterwards we will drive to Borjomi. Borjomi is an incredibly beautiful place, comfortably located in a beautiful<br />

valley <strong>of</strong> the Mtkvari River. Here you will visit the famous park Borjomi. Moreover we will have the possibility<br />

to taste real Borjomi water right from the spring.<br />

Arrival back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.<br />

Tour to Gori. Visit the city where Joseph Stalin was born.<br />

Tour to Bakuriani, beautiful village in the valley, surrounded by mountainous landscape.
