Who We Are New Spirit is a movement of young adults taking responsibility and working for the benefit of the city of Jerusalem. The organization was founded in 2003 and ever since has worked to ensure Jerusalem’s central place as a young, vibrant, pluralistic, and attractive city. The organization was founded during especially hard times for Jerusalem by idealistic young adults who were living in the city and decided to take responsibility for its future. Today, New Spirit is the largest organization of young adults in Jerusalem, influencing the lives of tens of thousands of the city’s residents through wide circles of influence. The organization works in tandem with students and young activists, and in partnership with the municipality, government offices, business owners, community leaders, artists, and other social organizations towards the aim of changing the face of the city. The main goals established for the organization at its founding: • Reducing the negative migration of young adults from Jerusalem. • Improvement of the image and atmosphere in the city, as a free, culturally rich, and creative city in the minds of young adults living in the city and in Israel • To bear a significant influence on decision makers and on the municipal and national agendas
