Welcome to this month’s edition of Hot Mama Magazine.
Today we start with, Letters to the editor!
This month’s theme is new, new, new things!
Dear Mrs.Masaschi,
I am writing to tell you how awesome your article’s are. Last Month, your outfits gave me some
inspiration on how to wear some pretty swell clothes. I mean with us having to stay in the
groove with the dress code. I don’t usually agree, I like to run around and play. I found some of
those great fabrics you wrote about! They are so breathable and fun to run in! Thank you for
such neat clothes!

Dear Mrs.Masaschi,
Your music and dance columns really benefitted my nights
out with my love! We went to our local Jazz club and got out
boogie woogie on! Your suggestions for going was
amazing. We caught the night with Shirley Temple. It was
amazing! Her songs blew me away! I loved her song, “We
Should be Together”, it brought back the spark from the first
time, I saw my “Hot Mama”! Thank you!

Our Interview with
Margaret Mitchell, on her
book “Gone with the
Wind”.
A new book that has come to the light, is “Gone With the Wind”.
We set a book interview with Margaret Mitchell. Here’s what she had to
say,”Mitchell what inspired you to write, ‘Gone With the Wind’?”
“Well my families were in many wars and battles, so I wanted to give a
different account on war, than what many have read and that are different
from the stories, I have heard.”
“How did you really begin to write your book? Like were there any particular
ways?”
“I know this may sound different, but I started with the last chapter first!”
“Wow!’
“I then gradually wrote all my chapters in no particular order of course. I
mean I knew how I wanted my characters to be. So I guess it was no
trouble at all!”
“How did you keep this, what 1,000 page novel a secret? I mean it must
have been hard.”
“1,037 pages,was very hard to keep a secret. I hid it under a towel. So no
one would know and, absolutely nobody looked under it. Anytime I had
company I just threw my towel over my Remington Typewriter and all my
manuscripts. I mean it was so heavy, so I had no other choice.”
“So are your characters based off of anyone in particular?”

“No they are my own creations, I mean I changed the names around a lot
and things, so I mean it was a challenge, but I love the characters i’ve
made. I feel a bond between all of them.”
“Wow, so how did you come to fathom them?”
“Well I mean, I did take characteristics I valued and did not value to make
up my characters. So then, I wrote them down, and made them
who I thought they would be, like how they talk, their descriptions,
etc.”
“My last question is, what made you want to publish?”
“Well my so called friend, said I wasn’t capable, so I changed that.
I filled my suitcase with ALL and I mean ALL my manuscripts, and
took them to the man who offered to publish them. By then, I was
offered a contract, 500 dollar advance and 10% royalties. I then
began to assemble all the chapters in their order. It all began from
there.”
“Well there you have it folks, you can buy your own copy of “Gone
With the Wind” for $3.00 a book with 1,037 pages to keep you busy! Thank
you Mitchell!”

Fashion, Fashion,
Fashion!!!!!
Our ladies are having to get more and more creative to stay out of the Bug
Eyed Betty's, so today we have our neat and most nice clothes!
Dresses and Puffs.
More puff, more fluff. Our best for
dancing, and listening to music in our
Jazz Clubs! These are made from fine
fabrics, and can go with almost any
occasion. Our dresses come in a variety.
Down here you will see some pretty little
tomatoes. Their dresses are made of
soft, and very breathable cotton fabrics,
as well as some fine lace. With these
little puffs on the shoulders.
Suits.
Now women are going through some
commotion and becoming more and
more with each waking day. So today,
and only in this addition, Will there be
information on suits. It’s the 20th century
and times are a changin. So our women
are beginning to do something. These
are fine polyester pants, with a nice
button down cotton shirt. With pumps!

Full Skirts.
Women are having to stick to the dress code, rules, and
regulations given.
So our women have come up with a newer style to really stick
to the dress code.
So here we have full skirts. With a nice touch of flair, there are
many ways to wear the new sensation, that's gripping the
nation.
Stick straight, but when nearing the bottom, there's a flair!
They can even be found in a variety of colors and patterns!
Zip, Zip, Zip Up!
Zippers have been found as a new thing!
Instead of hard to undo buttons, we have a single metal
clasp that goes up a zigzag metal pattern that can go
up or down. It has recently been found on shoes,
jackets, bags, pants, and skirts!
Channel’s Cotton!
Channel has found a new fabric, it’s cheaper than most
and found in many different clothing items. It’s cheap to manufacture. It’s
easy to pick. It’s fun and soft to wear. Check it out in your local store today!

Madeleine Vionnet.
Today we talked to the elusive Madeleine Vionnet about her, Cross Cut
Bias. Here’s what she had to say, “I wanted
women to have more of an edge, more of a
way to express themselves. So I took one of
my old ball gowns, and I cut the back into
the drapery. I then wore it out and I got so
many compliments, that women would pay
me to do theirs. So I did, not it is more
elegant, and makes anyone want to get
ready for a night on the town.”
There you have it folks, you can get your
drapery anywhere in dress shops!
Hats off to, you!
Your classic pillbox hats and brimmed hats have come
back folks! A noble accessory to almost any outfit. We
have so many different
styles and patterns! They are made to keep those rays
away from you, to glam up almost any occasion, dress
wear and more!
These have been matched with shoes, bracelets and
handbags!

Musicians!
We have our newest artist’s that have come to the scene!
Today we have Shirley Temple, who is a thriving actress
and musician! Her most popular songs on the charts, are,
“We Should be Together” and “Love’s Young Dream”. Plus
countless others. She has been in so many movies lately,
look in your local newspaper to find the times. She has
also had many other performances in local Jazz Clubs!
Next in today’s edition, is the
“Andrew’s Sisters”! They have come up with so many
new and exciting songs! Such as , “Lullaby to the
Jitterbug”, and “ Beer Barrel Polka”. They have also
been performing in local Jazz Clubs, go to enjoy
them. These three ladies harmonize beautifully.
Angels on earth. These are also perfect songs for
dancing swing and Jitter to!
Bing Crosby.
Bing is rising to the top. This man has a beautiful soul,
and a beautiful voice. He sings like no one is listening.
He has come out with some new songs today! Such as,
“It Must be True” , “I Surrender Dear”, and “ Just One
More Time”. You can catch all these songs and more.
Bing has also sung with many others as well.

​Dance!
It’s time to get your jitterbug on! Your swing in motion for our dance collum!
So all our local artist’s above will be performing at local Jazz Clubs, which
means it’s a night for dancing! Take your special little lady or gentlemen
and get dancing! Today we have to dances that have become ever so
popular!

The Jitterbug.
The Jitterbug is a simple dance. However, it is
composed of many things. We here at “Hot
Mama Magazine” want you to be ready!
The steps to the Jitterbug are plain and simple,
First Step- Cuddle Step.
Second Step- Into the Triple Step.
Third Step- To a Jitterbug Turn.
Fourth Step- Repeat.
This turns into a pretty swell dance, usually
danced in a Jazz Setting or your local Jazz Club!
The Swing Dance
The swing dance is another simple dance
(when it wants to be). However, for now we’ll
keep it simple. Be sure to show everyone
how it’s done at the Jazz Club! Be sure to
keep a partner handy for these situations!
First Step- Take two steps to the left.
Second Step- Take two steps to the right.
Third Step- Rock Step.
Fourth Step- Repeat.
Fifth Step- Take Traveling Steps.
Sixth Step- Add Flourishes.

Newest Inventions
Birdseye.
Clarence Birdseye has introduced a new way to dine
without the whine. Simply pop it in the oven, and the
frozen will be unfrozen.
How does this work?
It’s a late night and you don’t feel up for cooking, All
you do is pull it out of the container and put it in the
oven. Basically, the food is frozen with enzymes that
blanch the food, freezing it, but keeping all nutrition
when put in the oven!
Razors.
Jacob Schlick has invented razor blades, no
longer are they looking like bears, but
groomed looking fellas, they look clean
shaven and neat.
How does it work?
Razors have 3-4 blades (small) that are all
together in this packaging for the razors to
be together, and do the work in half the time.
Simply press on the spot to shave, and pull up or down.
Monopoly.
Charles Darrow has invented Monopoly.
Basically it’s a game to teach others how to
save and spend.
How does it work?

Monopoly is a game to invented to teach saving and spending. You roll two
dice, and go around the board saving, spending, buying, and paying
money. As well as trading other properties. Teaching children to become
little entrepreneurs.
The Ballpoint Pen.
Laszlo Biro has made a new way to write
without having to use ink, by dipping a pen in
the ink.
How does it work?
Instead of using a fountain pen, and wasting
ink, this is a ballpoint pen. You click the top
and an ink well comes out with the ballpoint
tip, to make writing the easy. Way cheaper
than many pens.
