CLIMATE<br />
The UAE has year-round sunshine.<br />
During the winter and spring, temperatures<br />
average 23°C/73°F. Summers can reach<br />
highs of 45°C/104°F with humidity.<br />
TIME<br />
The UAE uses Gulf Standard Time (GST),<br />
which is four hours ahead of Greenwich<br />
Mean Time (GMT+4)<br />
CURRENCY<br />
The currency in the United Arab Emirates is<br />
the Dirham, abbreviated to AED. Currency<br />
exchanges can be found in most malls, hotels<br />
and banks. The currency is pegged to the US<br />
dollar at an exchange rate of AED3.65 to 3.68.<br />
LANGUAGE<br />
Although Arabic is the official language, the<br />
UAE is incredibly multi-cultural and English is<br />
widely spoken in all settings.<br />
TRAVEL AND VISAS<br />
The UAE offers visas on arrival for over 40<br />
nationalities, however it’s always a good idea<br />
to speak to your local embassy to check you’re<br />
included.<br />
DRINKING WATER<br />
Tap water is considered safe to drink,<br />
though there is a culture of drinking bottled<br />
and filtered water.<br />
