is a Professional Electrical Engineer with 43 years of
experience in the practice of the electrical profession. He graduated BSEE in
1974 at the Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) and started his basic experience
for five years in NASIPIT LUMBER COMPANY/PHILIPPINE WALLBOARD
CORPORATION, once a large wood-based industrial complex in Northern
Mindanao. He was later employed by the BEER DIVISION OF SAN MIGUEL
CORPORATION, where he spent 15 years in Mandaue Brewery, 2 years in the
construction & commissioning of Davao Brewery and 4 years in SMC Corporate
Headquarters focusing on operation, maintenance and electrical construction of
breweries. Along the way while in SMC for 21 years, the author had reaped 38
awards & various citations befitting an outstanding employee.
Based in SMC Corporate Headquarters in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City;
Doods in 1994, became the Manager for Electrical & Instrumentation
Engineering, Corporate Technical Services of San Miguel Corporation - a
position he held until his optional retirement in January of 2000.
He later joined LEAR CORPORATION as Plant Manager of Plant 222, a
multinational company located in Mactan Economic Zone with corporate offices
in Southfield, Michigan USA, where he achieved a series of world record
breakthroughs in automotive wire harness manufacturing. His over-all training &
application of experience revolved not only within the country but also in
Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China (Guangzhou,
Shundie, Baoding) and Jakarta, Indonesia.
DOODS was 2 nd placer in the PEE Board Examinations in 1983, a college
instructor, speaker in various technical fora & symposia and lecturer in
seminars.
His significant contributions to the electrical engineering profession earned him
the IIEE’s
– an award he received in 1996. He had been president of IIEE Cebu
Chapter in 1986 and is until to this date active in IIEE movement. In 2002,
another IIEE national award was conferred to him as the

as CIT’s Y2003

for Y2003. In 2009, he became IIEE’s National Auditor. DOODS is a
Life Member, a Senior Member, a member of the College of Fellows of the
