From Sickness to Health:<br />

JENNIFER HUSE’S STORY<br />

After being diagnosed with endometrial<br />

hyperplasia, doctors recommended<br />

to Jennifer Huse that she undergo a<br />

hysterectomy to prevent cancer. Instead,<br />

Jennifer sought a less invasive treatment<br />

and turned to cannabis in Colorado. As<br />

Cory Hughes tells us, her decision led her<br />

to a better quality of life, and she is now<br />

sharing her experience with other women.<br />

In 2016, Jennifer Huse became one of many marijuana refugees<br />

in the United States. Jennifer, who currently takes up<br />

residence in New Jersey, was diagnosed with endometrial<br />

hyperplasia, a thickening of the uterine lining that, in many<br />

cases, leads to cancer. Jennifer had been seeing early symptoms<br />

as far back as 2009, however, a proper diagnosis didn’t<br />

materialize until 2015. In the years leading up to her diagnosis,<br />

doctors had been recommending a complete hysterectomy.<br />

By the time the diagnosis came in, doctors had detected<br />

the presence of advanced pre-cancerous cells. Still, the<br />

only treatment recommended to her was the hysterectomy<br />

route, simply to prevent any possibility of cancer. Finding<br />

this unacceptable, Jennifer made the decision to pack up<br />
