IFU: Bacterial Infection
Action: Its bactericidal action against susceptible bacteria during the stage of active
multiplication. It acts through the inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis that leads to the death of
bacteria.
Dosage: 500 mg for adults and 30 mg/kg/day for infants
Route: Oral
Adverse Reaction: Skin rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, and breathing problems.
