A
This draws inspiration from the surrounding
Devonshire countryside and design archives
like the V&A Museum and the RHS to create
a range of exclusive decorated glassware.
My aim with these new collections has
been to create a range of lamps with a more
contemporary feel, without losing the skills
intrinsic to the British art-form of Potichomania.

“Each hand-blown glass base is decorated
using the Victorian technique of Potichomania.
This labour intensive method involves a team of
artists applying intricately cut-out images and
decorative paint finishes to the inside of glass
bases creating highly individual works of art.
The combination of traditional craftsmanship
and simplicity of line and design is influenced by
my love of Japanese artwork, which is reflected
in the addition of more contemporary shapes
and also in the themes of cherry blossom,
magnolia, iris and orchid”.
