End Users<br />
As end users join the SAFE network anonymously, they will start a vault (a data storage<br />
and management location). This vault will add itself automatically to the network and start<br />
providing resources. These vaults require no setup and administration, they are a simple<br />
download and install. The network is designed to self-manage these resources and reward<br />
these 'farmers'(vault owners) accordingly in a random fashion, uniformly distributed across<br />
the network, thereby securing the network’s data.<br />
The earning speed is based on the storage space contributed to and verified by the<br />
network. For details of the calculation, please see Appendix ‘Token System on MaidSafe<br />
Network’. Note the developer and crowd sale lines are obscured by the IP pool.<br />
If people were to try and game the system by providing farmers to store data and then<br />
switch them off, they will simply remove their ability to earn. At some time in the future it is<br />
envisaged the network will be able to detect such data and remove it from the network. In
