<strong>Liphook</strong> Infant & Junior School<br />

Bishop Christopher, The Bishop of<br />

Portsmouth, and other members of<br />

the Diocese spent the morning<br />

meeting children and staff. During<br />

the morning, Bishop Christopher,<br />

together with Reverend Valentine<br />

Inglis-Jones, led the Junior School<br />

in collective worship. Members of<br />

years 5 and 6 ‘hot seated’ The<br />

Bishop and asked him some very<br />

searching questions. Bishop<br />

Christopher commented that he was<br />

extremely impressed by the<br />

children’s knowledge and thoughtful<br />

questions.<br />

ARTS WEEK<br />

Pupils from the junior school enjoyed taking part in ’<strong>Liphook</strong>’s Got<br />

Talent’ to raise money for Cancer Research.<br />

Parents and students and teachers from Mill Chase joined pupils and<br />

teachers from across the federation to support and lead a range of science<br />

workshops and inspire future scientists.<br />

Parents, musicians, local artists, students and<br />

teachers from Bohunt joined pupils and<br />

teachers from across the federation to support<br />

and lead a range of workshops including<br />

dance, music and art. One of the highlights<br />

was going to see ‘The Lion King’ in London<br />

and then meeting the actor (also a parent at<br />

the school) who plays Timon.<br />

where virtual reality is<br />

being brought into<br />

schools.<br />

Teachers used ‘Google<br />

expeditions’ to take<br />

pupils on immersive, virtual field trips around The<br />

World and beyond! Topics included: The Great<br />

Barrier Reef, The Amazon Rainforest and ‘The<br />

Universe’.<br />

Year 3 enjoyed exploring RHS Garden, Wisley as<br />

part of their Science Week activities.<br />
