Think Like Deborah
us deal with stuff we can’t figure out with
our natural minds. But we must remember,
having faith is only the beginning. To demonstrate
faith is to take the leap into the great
unknown. Without the leap, there is no faith!
Faith is the ability to believe that what is
not seen is possible, and then to act in order
to achieve a given outcome.
Many of us struggle with how to have
sufficient faith to take action. When you think
a little deeper, however, what good is merely
“having faith,” if you don’t actually use it?
We often overthink, second guess ourselves,
and give up because we aren’t really sure
that this faith thing will work. I’ve been there
more often than I care to remember. We
want to feel certain that we’re not just acting
on blind impulse. We want to feel that there
is something definite behind what we’re
believing God for.
Act on the Impulse From God
Faith, however, is not merely acting on
blind emotion, risking it all and hoping for
the best. In my experience, faith is acting on
an impulse from God, after spending time in
contemplation of His Word or a specific Bible
