On the other h<strong>and</strong> the unbeliever being bound by no rules, being<br />
‘free’ to do as he desires, will have made himself king of his own<br />
temporary materialistic heaven. His life on earth will be described as<br />
heavenly, even if he were to be a pauper, suffering from ailments <strong>and</strong><br />
illnesses, unloved <strong>and</strong> totally unknown, for the reason that his pain <strong>and</strong><br />
hurt in this world will be nothing in comparison to the waiting torment<br />
of the fiery afterlife. It will appear to him that this world was an<br />
enjoyable holiday.<br />
In this *ad|th the Prophet, Mu#ammad r at one <strong>and</strong> the same time<br />
warns us against having love for this world <strong>and</strong> shows us three ways to<br />
save ourselves, against its deception.<br />
He states: “This world is accursed <strong>and</strong> everything regarding it is<br />
accursed except for the remembrance of All\h along with everything<br />
relating to it <strong>and</strong> a knowledgeable person <strong>and</strong> one in search of<br />
knowledge,”<br />

<strong>The</strong> word Mal`[n, although having been translated as accursed,<br />
explicitly implies being thrown from the mercy of All\h I.<br />
From this it is obvious that All\h I does not merely dislike this world,<br />
but He despises <strong>and</strong> detests it to such an extent that it has been said<br />
that if All\h I valued this world even to the extent of a wing of a<br />
mosquito then He would never allow any disbeliever even a drop of<br />
water to drink.<br />

So if a person instead of aiming for the things which All\h I likes,<br />
throws himself into those things upon which is All\h’s I curse he has<br />
