Invocations for when the wind (gales) blows<br />
‘Allchumma ‘inne ‘as’aluka khayrahc,<br />
wa khayra mc fehc, wa khayra mc ‘ursilat bih,<br />
wa a`pdhu bika min sharrihc,<br />
wa sharri mc fehc, wa sharri mc ‘ursilat bih.<br />
O All\h, I ask You for the good of it, and the good of what it<br />
contains, and for the good of what it is sent with.<br />
I seek Your refuge from its evil, from the evil of what it contains,<br />
and from the evil that is sent with it.<br />

Invocation for when it thunders<br />
Subxcnal-ladhe yusabbixur-ra`du bi xamdihe<br />
wal malc’ikatu min khefatih.<br />
Glory is to Him, Whom thunder and angels celebrate the praises of<br />
out of fear for Him.<br />
`Abdull\h ibn Zubayr t would say this supplication whenever he<br />
heard thunder.<br />
