INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of our Geologic & Soils Engineering Investigation perfomred at 1844 N. San
Jacinto Street in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles, California. The purpose of our investigation was to
evaluate subsurface conditions as they relate to the proposed construction of a single-family residence on the
subject property. This investigation is limited to the area ofthe proposed development and does not warrant
the remaining portions of the property.
This investigation is based upon:
SCOPE
- A topographic site plan prepared by M&G Civil Engineering & Land Surveying - licensed Land
Surveyors, was utilized as the base map for the enclosed Geologic Map, Plate A. This mqp appears
to accurately reflect topographic conditions as observed at the properly. Offsite topographic data was
obtained from topographic map from the City of Los Angeles Navigate LA website.
- A review of preliminary plans by chris Belanger Residential Design.
- The review of eight (8) exploratory hand-dug test pits.
- Preparation of the enclosed Geologic Map which locates the proposed improvements and our
explorations (see APPENDD( D.
- Preparation of the enclosed Geologic cross-Sections (see AppENDx D.
- Preparation of site exploration logs (see APPENDD( D.
' Laboratory testing and analysis of samples obtained within the excavations (see APPENDX tr).
- Calculations which may include, but are not limited to, bearing value, lateral pressure, active earth
pressure, slope stability (see APPENDD( m).
- The review of available mE)s and reports prepared by this office and others (see APPENDX fV).
- Preparation of this report.
The data which supports the following SUMMARY OF FINDINGS. CONCLUSIONS and
RECOMMENDATIONS is contained within Appendices I through tv.
The scope of our exploration is limited to the areas explored for the proposed development as delineated on
the enclosed Geologic Map. This report should not be considered as a comprehensivevaluation ofthe entire
properly. This report has not been prepared for use by other parties or for other purposes (or developments),
and may not contain sufficient infomration for other than the intended use. If construction is delayed more
than one year, this office should be contacted to perform an update and to veriff the current site conditions.
