1. Arthritis
Arthritis is probably the most common problem among people
aged 65 or more. According to reports, it affects approximately
49.7 percent of all seniors over the age of 65. Arthritis causes pain
and discourages the seniors from being active.

2. Heart Diseases
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that
heart diseases are the second most common cause of death
among seniors over 65 years old. As people get older the number
of risks gets higher like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and
these risks increase the chances of stroke and heart diseases.

3.Cancer
Cancer comes second to heart diseases in terms of death causes
among older people. According to CDC report 28 percent of men
and 21 percent of women over the age of 65, are cancer patients.

4.Respiratory Diseases
Respiratory Diseases is the fourth most common cause of death
among people aged 65 or older. Among this disease, obstructive
pulmonary disease is the most common cause of death. According
to CDC, 10 percent of men and 13 percent of women have asthma
while a greater number of people are affected with emphysema or
chronic bronchitis.

5. Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is common among the people over 65 of age.
CDC reports that 1 in a 10 people have this disease and most of them
are 65 or older. Experts suggest that Alzheimer's has a significant
effect on senior health as security, safety, and self-care become the
matter of concern.

6. Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis can make anyone less mobile or potentially disabled if
there is any case of fracture or vertebral body collapse. According to
National Osteoporosis Foundation, it is estimated that 54 million
Americans over age 50 are affected by osteoporosis. A small fracture
could put these affected people in high risk and could be a reason for
poor health and less quality living.

7. Diabetes
Not much of introduction needed for this disease as it is a
significant health problem for the older as well as the younger
generation. Latest data suggest that approximately 25 percent of
Americans aged 65 or older are affected by diabetes. Diabetes
can be diagnosed easily and the sooner you know the better it is.
