Welcome Newborn Baskets<br />
The Newborns’ Program is the way that the MFRC highlights the<br />
arrival of new babies. A lovely team of volunteers makes baskets to<br />
which are then added some little gifts as well as informational tools<br />
that concern early childhood and regional resources which can<br />
support new parents.<br />

Second Language Courses (French and English)<br />
These courses target members of military families (spouses, children<br />

This is an online counselling service that targets teenagers 10 to 17<br />
years of age. Youths may ask questions confidentially or confide in the<br />

"Fuzz Buddies" Workshop<br />
This is a reading of the "Fuzz Buddies" allegory to children 3 to 5 years<br />

Draco Workshop<br />
Draco is a program for children 5 to 7 years of age who are<br />
experiencing the absence of a parent. We accompany the child<br />
through the various stages of deployment. It is thus possible to meet<br />

Deployment Respite Daycare<br />
This service is offered at the MFRC’s Respite Daycare. It allows you to<br />
get a bit of respite for a modest price. Scheduling specification: It is<br />
possible to use this service during the week as well as every other<br />

The Road to Mental Readiness program was designed to give families<br />
of military members some tools to face the challenges related to<br />
separation and reunion. This fall we are offering the "Frequent<br />
Separation" course.<br />

"FRIENDS" Program<br />
The FRIENDS program allows children 7 to 10 years of age to learn<br />
practical, effective means together to face anxiety, stressful situations<br />
and negative emotions so that they can develop their resilience.<br />

experience in a friendly and positive environment.<br />

Community Outreach Worker<br />
This worker makes biopsychosocial support telephone<br />
calls (sympathetic ear, referrals and information) as well as<br />
sending regular or email correspondence to support the<br />
integration of families newly arrived in Bagotville, those who are<br />
experiencing the absence of a military member or those of servicemen<br />
and servicewomen who are released for a medical reason.<br />

"On My Own" Workshop<br />
The goal of this short course is to prepare children from the ages of<br />
10 to 13 years to look after themselves, stay out of harm’s way, deal<br />
with situations that are likely to occur and keep busy in a safe and<br />

This isn’t an arbitration, couples’ therapy or intervention-in-case-ofconflict<br />
