SPIRITUAL GROWTH
MEN OUGHT ALWAYS
TO PRAY
You are a man, and you will
pray - if you don’t want to faint
There is an expectation from a man – an assignment or a function that man must
carry out from time to time. There is a prototype of a God-kind of man – and that is
the kind the scriptures talked about in Luk 18:1; “men ought always to pray and not
to faint”. Two possibilities is bound to happen to a man based on two factors, (1) either
he prays and not faint (2) either he prays not and faint. “If thou fainteth in the day of
adversity, thy strength is small” (Prov. 24:10). It is important to note that life is a
journey that we'll all go through and there is a time called a 'time of trouble'. Adam and
Eve were in the presence of God with full time joy but they fell. In as much as you are
still a man on earth and not in heaven yet, there will definitely be a time of trouble and
adversity.
There is a portion of prayer that you must give in order to bring out the full potential of
a man in you. The anointing of a man depends on what he channels it to. One of the
things that can bring out the potentials or possibilities of a man is prayer.
Your prayer becomes productive the day you recognise that all things are possible to
the m that believe Mark 9:23. One of the factors that catalyses the power of God is
belief. You need to answer the name you have been called- *a believer*- that is, you are
meant to believe. Every problem can be solved by prayer including mathematics. “If
there is no solution yet, it means you have not prayed”. You pray until something
happens and even after it happens. “Pray without ceasing” I The. 5:17 –“Continuing
instant in prayer” Romans 12:12, because “the effectual fervent prayer of the
righteous availeth much” James 5:15-18. Elijah's report as a man of prayer is to reveal
to us what the prayer life of a man should be; 1Kings 18:42.
Elijah prayed 7 times before the rain came. He prayed until something happened
(PUSH). “if there is anything you have not achieved, it means you have not prayed” –
You can only achieve what you have prayed for; Matt. 26:38. According to the tradition
of the Jews, one hour is the unit of measurement for prayer. Jesus prayed for 3 hours
