2.4 Other Fixes / Improvements High Priority Issues Closed Feature Encounter Listing Description Fixed an issue where drilling down through encounters from a measure did not work in Internet Explorer E-Review Fixed an issue in electronic review that prevented exporting of more than 500 physicians into CSV. AHRQ Normal Priority Issues Closed Top Decile and Top Quartile comparison methodology has been revised to consider a more accurate top decile/ top quartile population for AHRQ benchmarking. Feature E-Review E-Review On-Demand Description Fixed an issue in E-Review where Bulk Signing did not capture status change and signing actions as separate events. When a user clicks on the E-Review icon from the home page immediately after site restart, E-Review page used to error out. This has now been fixed. Fixed an issue in On-Demand where selecting a specific payer class in Focus did not reflect in the exported .csv report. 3 What's Next? In the next 1-3 months we will be providing the following updates to your Crimson Continuum of Care site: 3.1 Update to AHRQ V6.0 for ICD 9 AHRQ has recently released V6.0 support for ICD 9. CCC will soon update to leverage this version from AHRQ. This update will be applicable to both AHRQ table metrics and Pay for Performance Dashboard. 3.2 New ICU Quality & Utilization Metrics We will soon launch three new metrics that would aid members in ICU management initiative and in reducing over-utilization of the ICU. The metrics are Average ICU Days, ICU Mortality Rate and Average ICU Vent Days. These metrics are currently in beta testing phase. Here is what you can do with these metrics Compare ICU outcomes with peers across the cohort Investigate ICU over-utilization by scanning through Primary Diagnoses Track trends in patient flow into the ICU and throughput Monitor mortality trends within the ICU Focus by specific diagnoses to track infections associated with ventilator usage Encounter drill down to track Hospital Days Vs ICU Days Vs ICU Vent Days 3.3 Updates to Readmission Methodology to exclude non-acute admissions We have been actively working on improving our capabilities to better define admissions to non-acute settings within the acute care facility. This will improve the accuracy of Readmission methodology by excluding in-hospital transfers to Hospice, Psychiatric facilities, Swing Beds, SNF, Rehabilitation units, etc., from being flagged as readmissions. The change will ensure that we consider only acute admissions as part of our Readmission and Readmission with Exclusion metrics. The new capability will allow members to define non-acute admissions based on patient type or opt to use Crimson methodology to define non-acute admissions based on revenue codes. We will also provide additional facility to exclude non-acute admissions from readmission calculation based on discharge disposition codes.
