The Jaguars journey

March 16 2023: My life
Hello my name is
Silvester and I live with
my mother and father in
the amazon jungle. We
love it here because
there is lots of food and
water and a nice home.

March 24 2023: My home and family
We live under a nice big tree and we
have lots of protection. My dad is a
hunter and my mum looks after me.
My dad is a very big Jaguar and he
takes care of us. My mum is very good
at taking care of me. She feeds me
and protects me. I never want to leave
my home

April 2 2023: Things all change
I am eating my breakfast with mum
which was 3 large fish when I hear
a loud BANG! The birds and the
deer and zoomed off. I hear a loud
scream in pain and me and mum
run over. It was dad being dragged
away by humans and he was
bleeding out. Mum ran after him
and another loud BANG she got
shot as well and I ran for my life.

April 3 2023: The jungle
I ran deep in to the jungle. I didn’t
even look where I was going I just
bolted. I have never been here
before. I am lost and hungry. I
shouted out “HEEEELLLLPPP! But
all I heard was silence. All I could
see was trees and shrubs. I am
scared for my life. I need food and
water if I want to survive. I
decided to go to higher grand so I
could see where I am and find my
friends back at home. I followed a
stream and hoping to find high
ground.

April 4 2023: Lost
I found a mountain with lots
of birds so I had some food
and I found some lakes which
had pretty clean water. I think
I could see my home but I am
not 100% sure if it is my
home. I decided to camp here
for a few days because there
is a lot of food and some
water. I am not sure which
way to go but I think I go
south. My dad always told me
about hyenas and snakes in
the jungle so I need to look
out.

April 5 2023: Danger
I was about to set off to try and
find my way home then I heard a
loud growl! I look behind me and
I see around 10 big long green
snakes looking at me ready to
kill. I am corned and I have no
where to go either to the snakes
or off the edge of the cliff. At the
bottom of the cliff is a river of
water but I don’t know if ill make
it out alive. I had a better chance
of living if I went off the cliff so I
waited until the snakes got close
then I jumped off then BOOM!
Everything goes black.

April 6 2023: Waking up
I wake up and I am at the side of the river. I look around
and I have drifted down the stream for about 20
kilometers because I can see the cliff in the distance. I
have no clue where I am. I haven’t seen another jaguar
for 4 whole days and I'm getting worried I might not find
my way back. I am very hungry and dehydrated. The
water in the stream is very dirty so I cant drink it. I think
my chances of living are over.

April 7 2023: The last chance part 1
I decide to make the long trek
home. Because I drifted down the
stream so much it is approximately
35 kilometers west. I cant feel my
body and I have a headache from
hell. Mosquitos and fly's are
attacking me from every angle and
I'm struggling to see anything. I
keep on tripping over vines and
plants. I think I'm going to die. I
kept on going and eventually I
found my tree in the very far
distance. I started running because
I know the quicker I get there the
quicker I can get food.

April 7 2023: The last chance part 2:
I race to my tree and I am in absolute shock. There
isn’t a single animal here. I cant see anyone for as
far as I can see. I look on the ground and I see lots of
blood. I think I am in a danger zone. I hear a weird
noise I have never heard before in the distance that
slower coming closer. I turn around and BAM! All I
see is black and I hear shouting in the background
