The ACT-PAK Personal Aid Kit (Basic) is a small, cost-effective, 

vacuum sealed and waterproof pouch containing the items required 

to immediately treat massive bleeding and help save lives in the event 

of an emergency. The pouch is suitable for individual carry in a pocket 

or bag and can also be stored away in a secure location like a glovebox 

or draw leaving you safe in the knowledge that it will be there 

sealed until needed. 

Whether it’s general accidents, the effects of mother nature or as a 

result of human conflicts such as terrorism or crime, the ACT-PAK 

(Basic) is aimed at being used during the time period from the onset 

of the emergency until the arrival of the professional emergency

As a first responder to emergencies including general accidents, 

the effects of mother nature or human conflicts such as terrorism 

or crime, the ACT-PAK (Advanced) is a small, vacuum sealed and 

waterproof pouch for trained medical professionals containing the 

items required to immediately treat massive bleeding in the event of 

an emergency. The pouch is suitable for individual carry in a cargo 

pocket or in a responder bag/backpack as part of a bleeding control 

package. 

Compared to the ACT-PAK (Basic) which is designed to be used 

by those directly involved in the accident or conflict, this ACT-PAK 

(Advanced) is aimed at trained personnel who can have the necessary 

equipment to hand as soon as they enter the area to treat patients. 

Containing innovative and cost-effective medical supplies 

including a windlass tourniquet (either CAT or SOFT-T), 

haemostatic gauze (either WoundClot Trauma or Celox Rapid) 

and your choice of chest seal (none, Foxeseal or Russell), 

the ACT-PAK is a portable and durable solution to providing

Response Kits 

The ACT-multiPAK’s are Mass Casualty Response Kit’s containing 

a selection of ‘Basic’ and ‘Advanced’ ACT-PAK Bleeding 

Control Packs. Supplied in a MARCH bag with rapid-access 

opening and a velcro securing strap, the ACT-multiPAK’s 

are intended for pre-placement in public spaces. The grab 

bag, featuring a ‘burst-zip’ configuration, can be opened 

quickly and efficiently for responder drop or throw distribution 

of essential bleeding control equipment in mass casualty 

events including accidents, the effects of mother nature or as 

a result of human conflicts such as terrorism or crime. 

ACT-multiPAK’s should be placed throughout public spaces

an emergency. When choosing locations for ACT-multiPAK’s, 

identify your risks and assess if access could be limited in the 

event of an emergency. For example, if you are barricaded in

life-saving bleeding equipment if it was only situated in the 

corridor?

What happens when it’s used? 

When WoundClot is placed on the 

bleeding site, the product’s unique 

gel utilises the hydration forces 

between the mucosal layer and itself, 

which results in a strong physical 

attraction that leads to the adherence 

of the product to the tissue. The 

stronger the bleeding pressures in the 

wound, the stronger the attraction. 

For this to happen, the type of gel 

the product transforms into has been 

precisely designed with a vast ability 

to absorb bleeding without breaking 

down. This ability to absorb and 

maintain a stable membrane allows 

for the pooling of active coagulation 

factors in significant quantities. The 

membrane flexibility on the molecular 

gel structure allows a haemodynamic 

environment in which rapid coagulation 

cascades are created, given the large 

amount of coagulation factors present, 

enhancing and accelerating the natural 

clotting process. 

The coagulation factors attach to the 

surface tissue and the membrane with 

the presence of a patented molecular 

group incorporated into the product. 

The coagulation process is initiated 

many times faster and stronger than at 

the surface of the wound by enhancing 

the presence of platelets, multiple 

coagulation factors and amino acids, 

dramatically reducing the flow of blood 

from the wound. In turn, this process 

also increases the adherence of the 

membrane to the tissue making sure it 

is stable on the wound site.
