“Mostly Liszt” is a musical Sunday breakfast
at the Museumscafé in Eisenstadt. Here you
will have a unique opportunity to enjoy Liszt’s
timeless piano compositions in a comfortable
coffeehouse atmosphere – performed by nationally
and internationally successful young
musicians studying at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory
in Eisenstadt.

In Liszt’s day, musical and literary salons experienced
a heyday throughout Europe. In
these exclusive circles, artists and philosophers
exchanged ideas and presented their
works. “Liszts Salon” revives the atmosphere of
these salons with music and literature presented
by two well-known artists, and rounded
off, as in days of old, with cognac and cigars.
The virtuoso pianist and composer Bernhard
Macheiner will perform pieces by Franz Liszt and Thomas Freudensprung
will read texts by Liszt and his contemporaries.
