FIRST DAY OF TERM in 2018
is Tuesday 30 th January 2018
Our Pikorua 1 fundraiser
was called "KidzFirst Lollies
for Life" and we were
sponsored by Jump, East
Tamaki. Miss Rex came 1st
with a guess of 1750 and
Darius Teao came 2nd with
1777 (correct answer was
1725). All proceeds went to
buying colouring in
equipment for KidzFirst,
Middlemore. Thanks to
Jump for their Sponsorship
Yr 7 & 8 Boys basketball team did not do quite as
well as our girls. They gained quite a lot of
experience though and achieved plenty of game
time – don’t they look good in the uniforms.
Papatoetoe Schools Cross country
Was held on Tuesday – we have no photos due to
the mud and inclement conditions. There were
approximately 62 competitors in each age level
and all of our students represented SASDA well
with a special mention for Noah Seluone who came
8 th in the 9Yrs division and our twins Ashley and
Brooklyn Hoeflich who came 5 th and 7 th
respectively in the 10Yrs division. Well done all and
thanks to Miss Fautua for cleaning them up and
getting them back to school afterwards
READERS MISSING…
We are a well-resourced school and have invested heavily
in ensuring our children have the resources needed to be
successful learners.
Lately we have noticed a large number of missing Readers
which makes it difficult for our teachers to organise their
groups.
PLEASE could you check to see if you have any unreturned
READERS at home and send them to school with your
child. WE NEED OUR READERS …
