European Language Week
We wish to say a big thank you for all the effort
you put into making our European Languages
Week, and in particular, our Dress Up Day such a
success.
Our first formal consultations for this year will
take place from Monday 23 - Thursday 26
October. Please note that school will finish for all
P1-P7 pupils at 1.10pm each day this week,
including Friday. You should have received your
letter to specify your preferred days for
consultations. We would request that you return
these by Friday 6 October. Invitations to the
consultations will be sent home on the 16th
October. Nursery Consultations will be on the
24 & 25 October.
ARK Programme
Thank you to all the P1 parents who supported
our ARK Programme this year, which highlighted
the curriculum targets for learning in P1. This year,
we focused on the physical and social
development of our pupils as well as
communication, language and mathematical

The Family Photograph Night will take place on
Thursday 09 November (5-7pm). A £5 deposit
will be requested per session. A letter will be
issued before half term, outlining how you can
book yourself a slot.
If you have any unwanted clothes you wish to
get rid of, the PTA have organised a Clothing
Collection on Thursday 12 October with ‘Cash
for Clobber’. Bags will be available to collect from
the front foyer.
PTA Movie Night
The PTA are holding a Movie Night in the school
assembly hall on Thursday 26 October. Like
before, there will be two sittings:
• P1-P3 - Shrek Halloween (6.00-6.45pm)
• P4-P7 - Hotel Transylvania 2 (7.00-8.30pm)
Doors will open from 5.45pm for our younger
children. This year, there will not be a tuck shop.
Instead, popcorn, a drink and sweets will be
included in the ticket price (£2.50 for P1-P3 and
£3.50 for P4-P7).
Harvest Celebration
This year’s P3 Harvest Assemblies will be held on
Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 October at
9.30am. Tickets are now available to P3 parents.
Our collection this year will go to support the
work of Storehouse North
Down.

for distribution after the
assembly. Please lea ve
contributions into school on
Monday 16 October.
Thank you for your ongoing
support in our charity work.
After School Clubs
Our first term of After School Clubs start this
week. We remind you that if your child is not
able to attend their club, that you inform the
teacher in charge of the activity. That way, we
can ensure that all children are present and
correct.
School Fund
This year, the PTA are making use of the ‘Local
Giving’ funding website to collect school fund. A
note will be issued next week explaining what
this fund supports and how you can pay your
donation this year.
Half Term Holiday
School will close on Friday 27 October at
1.10pm for the half term holiday. School will
commence again on Monday 06 November at
9.00am.
