industry accolade: Yokohama
has lifted the NTDA’s Marketing
Campaign of the Year 2017
award.
Recognising Yokohama’s tyre
safety awareness campaign
with Chelsea FC and Tyresafe,
the award has been given in Yokohama’s
100th year.
“It really is an honour to receive
the prestigious Marketing
Campaign of the Year Award,
however this would not have
been possible without the fantastic
support and involvement
from Chelsea FC, who have
now become TyreSafe supporters
in their own right,” says Yokohama
HPT marketing manager
James Brown.
“Every week, hundreds of
thousands of football fans
jump in their cars and travel
around the UK to support their
teams and we are proud to
have played an important role
in helping promote tyre safety
issues and ensure they arrive
safely.”
Earlier in the year Yokohama
was given Tyresafe’s Manufacturer
of the Year Award for
the second year running.
HH Lions Equipment
HH Lions equipment, the UK’s largest
supplier of Werther lifts are closing their
operations in the UK leaving a big hole. The
Garage Equipment Group have been asked
by Werther to take over where they left off
and they obviously jumped at the opportunity
and stepped straight into the breech.
From November the fi rst stocks will arrive
in the UK at the same prices HH Loins
where charging their UK customers. Carl
Allenson GEG’s managing director quoted:
“Myself and others have been struggling to
get hold of Werther equipment off the fl oor
quickly rather than waiting 6-8 weeks for a
factory order since the closure of HH Lions,
so as soon as I was approached by Werther
I obviously jumped at the chance of this
great opportunity for GEG.”
