P4 ‘Archibald’s War’
P4 pupils will be on stage on 14 and 16
November performing their play ‘Archibald’s
War’ which is linked to their World War 2 topic.
The rehearsals are going well and tickets are
now on sale – Good luck everyone!
Congratulations
Over the last few weeks, some of our pupils
have been exercising their talents on the big
stage and we wanted to share their successes
with you.
Mya Jansen Van Rensburg has been performing
in Swan Lake with the English Youth Ballet at the
Grand Opera House.
Ryan McDowell and Josh Bell both represented
Rathmore at the Ulster Schools Swimming Gala
- Josh won a Gold in the 50m Butterfly and a
Bronze in the 50m Freestyle.
Jack Andrews competed in the Prof. Chang-Ung
Cup, a Taek wondo Champion’s League
competition in Scotland.
And finally, Jake Anderson, who also travelled to
Scotland to compete in the Tri-Nations Diving
Competition. Jake came home with 2 silver
medals and a bronze medal.
A huge congratulations to you all. All your
handwork and perseverance is paying off. We
are so proud of you all.
Opportunities at Rathmore
We are currently looking to expand the cover
for our lunchtime supervision teams. If you
would be interested in filling in to cover illness or
be considered for future positions, we would
love to hear from you.
The hours for this role are 12 noon to 1pm,
Monday to Friday. If you are interested, please
speak to someone in the school office.
Good luck to all the P7 pupils sitting
their transfer tests this month.
PTA Family Photo Night
Thursday 9 November
This is a great opportunity to have a Family
Portrait taken for Christmas. Leaflets have been
distributed and spaces are filling up fast so please
contact the office to reserve a photo session if
you are interested.
PTA Movie Night
To finish our first half term, the PTA held a
Pyjamas & Pillow Movie Night. With 400 children
in attendance, complete with popcorn and
drinks, it was a really fun night. Thank you for all
your support.
School Fund
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated
their school fund to Rathmore. For those of you
who are still intending to donate, see the PTA’s
Local Giving page to do so.
Charity
Thank you to everyone who supported our
Harvest Charity. ‘Storehouse’ was overwhelmed
by your response and asked us to pass on their
appreciation for our large donation!
will be selling poppies this week in the foyer and
at breaktime.
