“Treorchy Netball Club is the<br />
place to be on a Wednesday evening!! It's<br />
crazy to think just how many young girls<br />
we've had at the club since we first started. 102 girls came to<br />
Treorchy Netball Club in the first week of the 2017/18 season<br />
which was absolutely INSANE...BUT I LOVED IT, and<br />
in the months that have passed it’s just gone from strength to<br />
strength! I feel so privileged being a Rhondda Netball Head<br />
Coach! After a great first season, I'm really looking forward<br />
to seeing how all the girls progress and especially how the<br />
new age groups at Under 9’s & Under 15’s develop.<br />
I’ve been really pleased with the progress so far, and seeing<br />
Ebony & Emmie have the opportunity to represent Rhondda<br />
is just one example of how rewarding being a Head<br />
Coach has been for me. From crazy Ashleigh Ray bringing<br />
a laugh to every session, to shy but super committed Amelia...<br />
I've absolutely loved getting to know these awesome<br />
young girls! Being a part of Rhondda Netball, an initiative<br />
that's enabling so many young girls to enjoy and competitively<br />
partake in sport... is just awesome!!<br />
But lastly, I have to give a shout out to<br />
my wonderful assistant coaches too,<br />
who I honestly couldn’t live without.<br />
They’re awesome, and the girls<br />
ing the rules – but then ending the season coming 2nd in<br />
the Rhondda Netball League! It was so awesome to see<br />
and really encouraged me with the potential Rhondda<br />
Netball has.<br />
One of my little stars in that group was Libby Thomas; she<br />
started out not being confident in herself to then leading<br />
her team out on court as captain! I’m not going to lie,<br />
she brought a tear to my eye more than once! Things like<br />
that makes the time I spend coaching worthwhile and<br />
I’m privileged to have special moments like that happen<br />
all the time with all my fantastic ferns!<br />
The club is full of amazing girls, from the funniest double<br />
act in Rhondda, Nell & Estee, to the ultra committed<br />
Ffion Thomas. All of the Ferndale Ferns are hard working<br />
and some have amazing skills that, I hate to admit,<br />
put me to shame sometimes!! Having the opportunity to<br />
watch so many girls grow in both confidence<br />
and ability has been incredible and I’m<br />
looking forward to enjoying the rest<br />
of this season with all the girls at<br />

“Where do I start with my Pandy<br />
Panthers? The club has literally gone<br />
from strengths to strength in so many ways<br />
since we started in 2016. When we only did Under 11’s &<br />
Under 13’s Tonypandy Netball Club was bursting at the<br />
seams, but with Under 9’s and 15’s this year it’s gone to<br />
another level! It’s class!!<br />
It’s so rewarding being a part of Rhondda Netball as we<br />
try to give girls and women the same sporting opportunities<br />
