Gurgaon <strong>Metro</strong> | Rapid <strong>Metro</strong> Gurgaon phase-II for south Gurgaon open to public<br />
After missing several deadlines, the second phase of<br />
Rapid <strong>Metro</strong> was thrown open to public. The first<br />
train was flagged off by Rajiv Banga, MD and CEO of<br />
IL&FS from DLF Phase 1 metro station at 2 pm,<br />
following which it was thrown open to public after<br />
3pm.<br />
The line will benefit upscale residential<br />
colonies of south Gurgaon including DLF Phase 1, 4<br />
and 5, Sushant Lok, Suncity and group housing<br />
societies in Sec-56. It will also cater to corporate and<br />
commercial establishments on the golf course road.<br />

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)<br />
has extended Official Development Assistance Loan<br />
(ODA) of 33,321 million Japanese Yen (around Rs<br />
2,000 crore) to the Chennai <strong>Metro</strong> <strong>Rail</strong> Ltd. (CMRL)<br />
for building of Mass Rapid Transport System.<br />
The ODA loan’s conditions are very<br />
concessional, i.e. 1.4 per cent and 0.01 per cent<br />
interest rate and 30 years of repayment period<br />
(including 10 years of grace period).<br />
Delhi <strong>Metro</strong> | RaysExperts commissions 5.5 MW Solar project in DMRC<br />
India’s leading innovative solar solutions provider and one<br />
of the largest solar power EPC and Development<br />
companies RaysExperts on Tuesday announced that it has<br />
commissioned a 5.5 MV solar project for Delhi <strong>Metro</strong> <strong>Rail</strong><br />
Corporation (DMRC).<br />
This will be one of the largest distributed rooftop<br />
solar plants setup across India. RaysExperts’ solar<br />
installation will supply power to multiple metro stations,<br />
cleaning bays, parking yards and other metro rail<br />
supporting facilities. The project has the capacity to<br />
produce 87 million units of power every year.<br />
