M<br />
Y VERY EARLY TEEN YEARS were a<br />
discovery period. I found that certain<br />
organs on my body served more than one<br />
purpose. My dad must have realized I had<br />
entered that stage of development that required 'the talk.'<br />
As he sweated, wrung his hands and refused to look at me,<br />
he explained about birds, bees, love, marriage and babies.<br />
The word "sex" never came up, so I asked, "Is this<br />
where men and women have sex?" He turned pale and<br />
nodded his head. Remember when I told you I had been<br />
raised on a farm? The point being, if it is right there in<br />
front of you, pay attention!<br />
I also began to notice the girls in school were<br />
developing shapes and curves that intrigued me. These<br />
were the same girls that six months ago were almost<br />
invisible. Now they were becoming desirable. I also<br />
noticed that boys my age were still mostly undesirable.<br />
