It is 30 years since Charles Carey jumped into his car and drove to<br />
Tuscany to find some olive oil to sell. At that time olive oil was only<br />
sold by chemists, by one or two wine merchants as a favour for<br />
the estates that they were representing, and by Italian,<br />
Spanish and Greek families who imported food from<br />
their respective countries.<br />
Now Charles and his wife’s company, The Oil<br />
Merchant, represents specialist olive oil producers<br />
from Europe, and one from South Africa,<br />
as well as producers of oil-related products<br />
such as wine and balsamic vinegars,<br />
and pasta sauces and pestos.<br />
A range of these products will<br />
be available for sale at the event.<br />
