Transfer Application Information
Students are considered transfers if they have earned
24 credits or more from a regionally accredited
institution of higher learning. These credits must have
been earned after the completion of high school or
its equivalency. To transfer to Sweet Briar, you must
be in good academic and social standing and have
a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for all
college courses. We encourage you to contact us
early to ensure that all of your credits transfer.
Students with fewer than 24 accredited hours must
meet the first-year applicant requirements.
In addition, Sweet Briar has a dual-enrollment
agreement with Central Virginia Community College
(CVCC), so you can have the best of both worlds.
Take classes at Sweet Briar at the CVCC rate while
earning your associate degree and get a head start
on your transfer to Sweet Briar. Contact us if you have
questions about our dual-enrollment program!
