it will come suddenly, unexpectedly--at a time<br />

when we are least expecting it. But we can have a<br />

clean record in heaven today, <strong>and</strong> know that God<br />

accepts us; <strong>and</strong> finally, if faithful, we shall be<br />

gathered into the kingdom of heaven.<br />

(Several testimonies were borne by various<br />

members of the congregation; but the response was<br />

not so hearty as might have been expected after<br />

such an appeal had been made. The testimonies<br />

were more or less indefinite, with, however, a few<br />

exceptions. The break that seemed necessary in<br />

order that the spirit of confession might come in,<br />

was not made. It seemed as if the powers of<br />

darkness were striving for the mastery. It was at<br />

this juncture that the prayer was offered by Sister<br />

<strong>White</strong>.)<br />

this evening, as our only Refuge, as our only<br />

Helper, as the only One who can save us from<br />
