The Canadian government now requires
visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or
travel through Canada to have an Electronic
Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions
include U.S. citizens and travellers who do
have a valid Canadian visa. Visit

application. The cost is modest and most eTA
applications are approved within minutes.
Crossing a Border into the U.S.
All travellers entering the United States by
air, land or sea, including American citizens
returning to the U.S., are required to present
a valid passport or other approved, secure
documents as determined by the Department

papers or a notarized letter of
permission from the absent parent is
