Association), April 22–23, 2004. [My lecture was entitled “Pro<strong>of</strong>: Discovery vs. Verification”.<br />

For personal reasons, I had to cancel this invitation after I had accepted it. The organizers<br />

<strong>of</strong> the session then asked my former PhD student, Andrew Arana (Department <strong>of</strong> Philosophy, Stanford<br />

<strong>University</strong>), to give a paper from joint work <strong>of</strong> ours. In the end, I was able to attend the session<br />

and participate in the discussion <strong>of</strong> the paper. The other invited presenter was Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Jeremy<br />
