For the Heart of Texas Region<br />
Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas receives Service to Workers Award<br />
Workforce Solutions was awarded the Service to Workers award by the Texas Workforce Commission<br />
during its 20th Annual Texas Workforce Conference in December <strong>2016</strong>. The award recognizes a workforce<br />
development board that demonstrated a commitment to Texas workers by significantly improving<br />
services throughout the workforce system.<br />
Workforce Solutions was recognized for developing the Evening LINK public transportation program<br />
to help local residents find work and stay employed. The Evening LINK is the area’s first evening bus<br />
service that provides workers with reliable and affordable transportation.<br />
