a Posta Vecchia, a hotel that looks down onto<br />
the sea, features 19 rooms, an indoor heated<br />
swimming pool, the LPV Health & Beauty Club<br />
and the gourmet restaurant The Cesar overlooking the<br />
sea. The villa, which dates back to 1640, was built by the<br />
Orsini Princes and later sold to the Odescalchi family,<br />
who already owned the castle next to it. In 1960, the<br />
building was purchased by Jean Paul Getty, who had the<br />
residence restored to its original splendor, with<br />
17th-century furnishings, tapestries and paintings. During<br />
the renovation, the remains of an ancient Roman villa<br />
came to light; today these findings can be admired in the<br />
hotel archaeological museum. The current owner, Roberto<br />
Sciò, bought the villa directly from Getty in the 1980s,<br />
and in 1990 it once again became synonymous with<br />
superb hospitality, in line with its original function. La<br />
