Preface<br />
We are proud to present the sixth edition of the Compendium produced by the European Association of<br />
Cardiovascular Imaging (<strong>EACVI</strong>).<br />
The <strong>EACVI</strong> is committed to maintaining high standards of professional excellence by providing tools and<br />
guidance for continuous medical education and innovative practice of cardiovascular imaging.<br />
Specialists from all cardiaovascular imaging modalities have joint their expertise to create a compilation of<br />
recommendations and expert consensus statements. The idea behind this Compendium is to guide practice<br />
of cardiovascular imaging and to provide the best healthcare experience.<br />
The compendium gathers 12 documents published in the European Heart Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging<br />
including the most recent recommendation papers published 2016 and 2017. The readers will have access to<br />
reference documents on diverse topics including all cardiovascular imaging modalities represented within<br />
the <strong>EACVI</strong>.<br />
We would like to thank our colleagues who participated in the various writing committees and devoted their<br />
