Dominic has a really
positive attitude
and is a hardworking
apprentice.
Despite having dyslexia, he is
always ahead with his work and has
excellent attendance at college and
work. Dominic is determined and an
excellent advocate for the college
– he’s always willing to go that extra
mile to succeed personally and
professionally.

Irum Khalid
18, Huddersfield
Works for Blackhall
Engineering
As a Super Rep
and Student Governor, Irum has made
an outstanding contribution to college,
supporting Student Voice and positive
change. Extremely conscientious and
pro-active, she represents her peers in
an outstanding manner. An excellent
role model, Irum is passionate about
promoting women into engineering
and is working as an ambassador for
C&K Careers.

Muqaddas Ali
18, Dewsbury
Works for Dixons
Academies Trust
Having completed a
Level 2 full-time IT course at Kirklees
College, Muqaddas secured a Level
3 Apprenticeship as an IT Support
Technician – the first student to do
this and an inspiration for others
wanting to do the same. He has
been commended for his exceptional
progress at work and his contribution
to the company. He has come a long
way in terms of his personal and
professional development in a short
time.

Frances Harker
19, Mirfield
Works for Dewsbury and
District Golf Club
Frances has made excellent
progress from the very start of her
Apprenticeship. She is dedicated,
tenacious and has an excellent
attitude. Despite suffering from a
serious illness and time off college, she
manages to achieve, grow and take
on more responsibility at college and
work.
