Despite having dyslexia, he is<br />

always ahead with his work and has<br />

excellent attendance at college and<br />

work. Dominic is determined and an<br />

excellent advocate for the college<br />

– he’s always willing to go that extra<br />

mile to succeed personally and<br />

professionally.<br />

Engineering<br />

As a Super Rep<br />

and Student Governor, Irum has made<br />

an outstanding contribution to college,<br />

supporting Student Voice and positive<br />

change. Extremely conscientious and<br />

pro-active, she represents her peers in<br />

an outstanding manner. An excellent<br />

role model, Irum is passionate about<br />

promoting women into engineering<br />

and is working as an ambassador for<br />

C&K Careers.<br />

Muqaddas Ali<br />

Academies Trust<br />

Having completed a<br />

Level 2 full-time IT course at Kirklees<br />

College, Muqaddas secured a Level<br />

3 Apprenticeship as an IT Support<br />

Technician – the first student to do<br />

this and an inspiration for others<br />

wanting to do the same. He has<br />

been commended for his exceptional<br />

progress at work and his contribution<br />

to the company. He has come a long<br />

way in terms of his personal and<br />

professional development in a short<br />

time.<br />

Frances Harker<br />

19, Mirfield<br />

Works for Dewsbury and<br />

District Golf Club<br />

Frances has made excellent<br />

progress from the very start of her<br />

Apprenticeship. She is dedicated,<br />

tenacious and has an excellent<br />

attitude. Despite suffering from a<br />

serious illness and time off college, she<br />

manages to achieve, grow and take<br />

on more responsibility at college and<br />

work.<br />
