Follow the coastline of Riviera to Monaco, a tiny principality that attracts Royalty, the famous and the wealthy, just 0.8 square miles. The Grimaldi Family has ruled Monaco since 1297,making them the longest reigning family dynasty in Europe. See the royal palace, and pass by the Cathedrale de Moncao, site of Prince Rainiers’s wedding to Grace Kelly in 1956. Catch a glimpse of the stately Monte-Carlo Casino as you stroll the streets. The casino was built in 1878 by Charles Garnier, who also designed the Paris Opera. Arrival in Florence and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 07: After breakfast tour of Florence. Sightseeing tour of Florence Your tour starts with a drive up to Piazzale Michelangelo to admire wonderful panoramic views of Florence. Next, you will take a walking tour of the cathedral complex in the old city center, including Giotto’s Belltower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors and the famous cupola by Brunelleschi. A short walk brings you the Accademia Gallery which houses the statue of David by Michelangelo. Stop for lunch on your own. A short walk through the heart of Florence brings you the famous Piazza Signoria, where you can see the imposing Palazzo Vecchio (exterior) and the beautiful Loggia del Lanzi. Next, you will visit the Uffizi Gallery to admire superb paintings by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci,Raphael and Giotto.
