CUPS<br />
Sports trophies made in the form of cups are the oldest<br />
form of "man-made" award. Trophies made for the express<br />
purpose of commemorating an event date back to the mid<br />
18th century.<br />
Today, many trophies awarded to winners of sporting<br />
events take the form of a large, decorated cup. Owing to<br />
the common usage of cup-shaped trophies as prizes for<br />
the winners, a large number of national and international<br />
competitions are called "cups“ such as the FIFA World Cup,<br />
Cricket or Rugby World Cup and the Melbourne Cup.<br />
This traditional cup design continues to be refined as<br />
reflected in our range of classic Italian designed cup bowls<br />
and our nickel plated die cast cups. However, the more<br />
modern and elegant laser cut cups without handles have<br />
become increasingly popular, especially when colours have<br />
been added to contrast with the traditional cup colours of<br />
