Confirmation ceremonies for young people from Ballymore area Confirmation ceremonies began in the Diocese of Meath on Thursday of last week, 8 February, and over the coming months over 4,000 young people will receive the sacrament in 60 ceremonies officiated by Bishop Michael Smith. This year, the honour of hosting the first of the 60 Confirmation ceremonies was with the people of Tubberclair, Tubber, and Rosemount areas, as well as the people of Ballymore, Boher, Streamstown, and Drumraney areas. The Ballymore Confirmations (pictured) took place in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Ballymore, at 3pm last Thursday afternoon, 8 February, while at 11am last Thursday the first of the 2018 Confirmation ceremonies took place, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclair. Pupils from Scoil Eoin Naofa in Ballymore, Ard na Grath National School in Walderstown, and Boher National School in Streamstown were joined by families and friends for the occasion. Confirmation for young people in Mullingar will be at two ceremonies, 11am and 3 pm, on Saturday, 10 March in the Cathedral of Christ the King.
