<strong>Startup</strong> Scheme 1: Support For International Patent Protection In Electronics<br />

& Information Technology (SIP-EIT)<br />

SIPEIT is directed by Department of Electronics and Information Technology<br />

(DeitY) and applicable to IT Services, analytics, enterprise software, technology<br />

hardware, Internet of Things, AI industries. The scheme is launched by the <strong>India</strong>n<br />

government with the aim of providing financial support to MSMEs and technology<br />

startup units for international patent filing to encourage innovation.<br />

<strong>Under</strong> the scheme of SIPEIT , the beneficiary can enjoy the reimbursement of<br />

INR 15 Lakhs per invention or 50% of the total expenses incurred in filing and<br />

processing of the patent application up to grant, whichever is lesser. This scheme is<br />

valid up to 30.11.2019.<br />

<strong>Startup</strong> Scheme 2: Software Technology Park (STP) Scheme<br />

This scheme is headed by Software Technology Parks of <strong>India</strong> (STPI). As the<br />

name itself suggests, this scheme is applicable for IT services, fintech, enterprise<br />

software, analytics, AI and Software companies will be considered eligible for<br />

availing benefits from this scheme. This scheme provides data communications<br />

servers, statutory services, , incubation facilities, training and value-added services<br />

etc to help the start ups of IT industry. There is no time limit to avail this facility.
