The Market Greenwich became a Royal Borough in 2012. It has a rich heritage, a unique place in maritime history and benefits from the worldwide recognition of the Greenwich Meridian. It is in this context that Envolve is launching a range of entertaining and informative bus tours for visitors and for local schools and residents. Envolve will also explore theme specific tours including Tudor Greenwich, Greenwich Film locations and Military Greenwich. Tours will operate in collaboration with a range of tourist-related and transport partners including Visit Greenwich, the area destination management organisation.
The Operation The tour service will be staffed by comprehensively trained and accredited local volunteers, delivering a distinctive service with significant social and employment impact. A major USP for customers is that guides will be real locals offering expert commentary and contextual tailored information. During our off-peak period the service will be targeting schools, colleges, universities and local residents of the borough with an offer of the tours at reduced rates. The Opportunities and Channels We will provide a highly visible partnership with Volunteer Centre Greenwich, Envolve and its first high profile enterprise. • Company logo and name will appear in: o o Exterior of the tour vehicle (including opportunity to include caption/strapline) - prominent display and profile on Envolve’s website Prominent display on Greenwich Bus Tours page on Visit Greenwich website - regular promotional slots on Envolve’s social media including Facebook and Twitter • Prominent display on all printed promotional literature including promotional leaflets, posters, tickets and bus timetables • Prominent display on static sites including bus stops and staff livery • The opportunity to present at promotional events • Contact with a range of existing Envolve stakeholders including Visit Greenwich, the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London City Cruiseport, University of Greenwich and a range of venues.
