LC CLUB MAG WINTER 2010

Hi RD-LC fans,
Uttoxeter bike show 2010 was my 1st time to this venue and "jokingly" said that I
would supply my rat RD80 LC, I had just bought to show case my work to Weaver,
which he thought, to my surprise, was as a good idea!!!
I set off to the show, I was also showing my RD50 MX on the sportsmoped.com
stand and the rat 80 LC....
We only had a few bikes due to the space but it was still a very busy weekend with
a lot of fingers pointing to the "rat" in the corner.
I then stated I was going to restore it for the Stafford show in October.
A few oohh's and ahhh's were spoken and a lot of "you cant possibly do that's"
....lol
Well the challenge was
set in my head to do this
bike from inception (seen
at this show with rot,
rust and broken bits) to
a fine restored bike in a
few weeks (a rat to
riches story), and
revealed at Stafford
show 2010.
I was in for a challenge!!
I camped out in the van and the
evening's were fun and a few beers sunk in the LC camp...lol. But we all had a great
nights sleep well some of us did...
It was a great 1st Uttox show for me and as usual a lot of interesting bikes and
plenty of LC fans that graced the stands admiring the bikes on display.
A super top weekend and my rat bike was destined to be reborn a few weeks later
at Stafford
