<strong>Walk</strong>-On’s Beginning<br />

The <strong>Walk</strong>-On’s Story begins with founders Brandon<br />

Landry and Jack Warner playing as walk-ons for the<br />

LSU basketball team in 1997. One of the most important<br />

take-aways for Brandon and Jack during their time<br />

on the bench, was that although their playing time was<br />

brief, that they were still a TEAM with one common<br />

goal: to win!<br />

2012<br />

In 2012 <strong>Walk</strong>-On’s Bistreaux & Bar was named<br />

Best Sports Bar in America in an ESPN Mobile Poll.<br />

Finalist in this continent-wide contest were picked<br />

from more than 5,000 nominations submitted by<br />

ESPN Mobile users. The winner was chosen based<br />

on fan voting, and an editorial panel review.<br />

Driven by team spirit, camaraderie, and their true love<br />

for the game, Brandon and Jack took the lessons learned<br />

from being walk-ons and began applying them to their<br />

future.<br />

2001<br />

Inspired by their amazing opportunities to travel and<br />

visit the best restaurants and sports bars in the country,<br />

their dream of playing LSU basketball was beginning to<br />

shift into a new dream.<br />

Now<br />

In 2001, on a plane ride home from a game at the<br />

University of Tennessee, the floor plan for <strong>Walk</strong>-On’s<br />

Bistreaux & Bar was drawn on the back of a napkin.<br />

Brandon and Jack submitted their business plan to one<br />

of their professors, who gave them a C; saying their<br />

idea needed more work. Seven banks later, their dream<br />

turned into a reality. Throughout the process of opening<br />

<strong>Walk</strong>-On’s they discovered the ultimate non-negotiable:<br />

never stop trying!
