Crane <strong>Training</strong><br />

Course No 25 LGV & Crane or LGV & JCB Course<br />

20 days, 28 nights:<br />

A great way to have the best of both worlds. With this course you can improve your chances of<br />

employment within the road transport or construction industry sectors.<br />

Course No 26 Slinger Signaller<br />

5 days, 6 nights: In depth course giving the technical skills and knowledge that a Slinger Signaller is<br />

expected to carry out when working with crane lifting operations.<br />

Course No 27 Crane Appointed Person (British Standards 7121)<br />

5 days, 6 nights: Outlines the technical skills and knowledge that an Appointed Person is expected to carry<br />

out when planning and supervising crane lifting operations to British Standards 7121.<br />

CPCS Health & Safety Test<br />

Prior to sitting the CPCS Technical Test, all candidates must pass the Managers Health & Safety “Touch Screen Test”<br />

Course No 28 Crane Supervisor (British Standards 7121)<br />

5 days, 6 nights: Outlines the technical skills and knowledge that a Crane Supervisor is expected to carry out<br />

when supervising crane lifting operations to British Standards 7121.<br />

CPCS Health & Safety Test<br />

Prior to sitting the CPCS Technical Test, all candidates must pass the Supervisors Health & Safety “Touch Screen Test”<br />

CPCS Information<br />

<strong>The</strong> CPCS Scheme Has Two Levels of Operators Cards<br />

(Red) Trained Operators Card: Issued after initial training; it has a two year life<br />

span and it is not renewable. (Upgrade to a Blue Operators Competency Card)<br />

(Blue) Competent Operators Card:<br />

Operators must complete a Vocational Qualification in Construction Plant Operations.<br />

To achieve the N/SVQ level 2, operators must gather work based evidence:<br />
