PRECISELY PREPARE FOR YOUR
FAMILY SESSION
Preperation is key to a successful and planned family
session. Here are some tips to get you prepared for a
photo session with Precise Events & Photography.
1. All Aboard!! Get all the family on board for this family session
by telling them in advance. Do not surprise them on the day of
the shoot. Make it a family activity by not just doing the photo
session but also a family outing such as dinner, the movies or a
day at the park. Oh, and tell Dad to make sure he smiles and has
a cheerful demeanor because I know men dislike family photos
but they will LOVE this session, trust me!
2. Choose your wardrobe wisely. You don't have to be matchy
matchy but instead complimenting colors, a theme or clothes
related to your shoot activity, location, season or personal style
that blends well with everyone. Remember this is lifestyle
photography and we capture your family's REAL life. So you
don't have to get too fancy on us!
3. Get plenty of rest and make sure everyone has had a snack
before your session so everyone won't be tired and "hangry". It
just doesn't make for great images.
4. Don't overthink your poses. Everyone does not have to "say
cheese" because that is not genuine. Instead, just let the
laughter happen naturally. Let the kids be kids and know that
everyone does not have to be looking at the camera for a great
shot.
5. Lastly, HAVE FUN! Bring activities your family enjoys and just
let the magic happen organically!
